I was on leave yesterday, supposedly to select my flat at HDB. We did not turn up coz the units that we wanted have been taken up, only left storeys 2 and 3 for selection. We should be getting a resale next year in this case. I am so happy. I am finally getting married!

After 8 years of hardship comes days of sweetness and I can enjoy the fruits of his labour. Haha.. He will be completing his Masters this April, and soon we will both be working adults and he can finally marry me! Haha.. Think I am getting a bit hysterical about this. It is also a good thing that we rejected the Sengkang BTO. If we had decided to take that up, we will have to wait for another 4 years to get married, by then I will be an old maid...

Now that we are not taking that Sengkang flat, we can get a resale flat next year, and finally ROM on 05 June 2008 (exactly 9 years of courtship!)
We spent the day really leisurely. Woke up at our own sweet time, dressed and got ready for our outing. It's been donkey years since we went to town. So we went to Cathay to catch a movie - Primeval. Not a very nice show, but at least we did not catch it during the weekend. Would have cost us $2 extra per person.

Getting a bit more miserly now, coz I have to save up for my car and flat. I hope our car can come before our flat. Really looking forward to getting our own car.
Bought a Precious Moments figurine. We had wanted to get a PM figurine every occassion (such as Valentine's day, anniversary, birthdays, Xmas and what have you) and so that we can display them in our new flat. We had dragged this for quite some time, and finally got down to it yesterday. This PM figurine shall be the belated one for our Valentine's Day this year. This is it - "Sometimes You're Next to Impossible".

I think it is very apt, coz I believe this is what James feels at times when he can't get through to me. Haha..
Anyway, I bought a small wallet and a lighter for Shanel. I dunno why I got the lighter for her, just suddenly felt like buying something for her. Mad woman ah.. Haha..

Oh, I must blog about this uncle whom we caught trying to chat up a young girl in the MRT. The young girl looked like she is in her later teens, probably about 17 or 18, a bit Eurasian. She board the MRT at Pasir Ris and was reading her story book and listening to her MP3. Wearing a bikini and a dress over the blue bikini. Then at Bedok or Tanah Merah, this uncle in his late forties or early fifties board the train and took the seat next to her. Suddenly we saw them talking. The girl had a weird expression and I HEARD the uncle say to the girl, "So can I have your contact number, as a friend?"

The girl gave an astonished look and rejected him. He repeated the "as a friend" and the girl told him "But I am very young!" The uncle said its ok, just friends.

The girl told him, "Sorry, I would rather not." Oh my goodness, and he continued to chat up the girl, trying to get her to give him her number. This is the first time I have witnessed such a thing. Shameless old man!
I only hope the girl did not get into any problem or difficulty.
