It’s been a very slow January. What a bad start to the new year. Was down with gastric flu on Sunday all the way till Tuesday. Nearly fainted, my fever was freaking high, at 39 degrees Celsius, nearing to 40! Doc immediately gave me two days to rest at home, which means this is my 3rd 3 working days week since the start of the year. But logically speaking, I am not working for only 3 days coz I’m at work on Saturdays. Tomorrow included, I would have worked for 3 consecutive Saturdays in a row.

Just had a confirmation from my boss yesterday, this year there will be performance bonus! Estimated to be about 1.5 months on average. Have heard that 2 persons will not be entitled to it. He divulged one name to us, and I am still wondering who the other person is. Anyway will be getting the bonus mid of Feb, if nothing goes wrong, it should be on 9th Feb. Woo… I’ve already planned how to spend that money. Will give mummy dearest $800 for CNY, and Papa will get $300. Big small eyes ah.. But mummy spends a lot for this household, and she doesn’t spend her money on irrelevant things, not like Papa. And $300 is also a lot leh. Then the rest shall be dumped into a fixed deposit together with my SAYE that will mature in Feb! Woo.. I am a rich woman! And of coz, a part of all this money shall be invested into a nice holiday to HKG at the end of April or start of May.

Checked from the web and found out that we have been given a queue number for the Sengkang BTO. Means we have a chance at getting our hands on that flat that we fancy! Total of 285 four-room flats are available, and our q number is 00514, almost right at the end of 570. Oh, just FYI, they will shortlist up to twice the number of flats available candidates, and from there, depends on ‘heng suay’ already. Looking at our q number, it means our chances are extremely slim, but hope never dies. Have yet to receive the official letter from HDB that will inform us our date to go down to HDB hub to select the flat of our choice. Wait for more updates then!
Next Friday will be shifting office.. I have yet to pack my things at all! Oh dear, I have so much barang barang to move.. I had better go back to office tomorrow, just to pack my stuff. Friday after work, is shifting day for our dept and KAMO commercial.

I had just attended an old neighbour's wedding (I mean former neighbour, she is the same age as Vicky. We had lived in the kampung together, Vicky and her grew up together). She is marrying the son of some coconut king... Aiya, some rich man's son lah. They held their wedding at Chong Pang Community Centre (Yishun). Initially we were like 'eee', how can anyone get married in a CC? Then we realised it was coz they invited 100 tables of guests and relatives. Thus the big space required. (But then, wouldn't expo or Suntec convention hall be a much better choice?) Anyway it was a grand event and felt like it was some "ge tai" event with all the "ge tai" singers entertaining us, one even went there to promote his album!?!?! =_= duh..

Anyway during the dinner that night, I had many thots and questions just came popping up in my mind. James and I are almost 'friendless' in some sense. We dun have such close frens that can be our "brothers" and "sisters" during our wedding!!! And that night we were trying very hard to squeeze out some names that would probably be our "bros and sis".. And we did come up with a few, pathetic few. Haha... Aiya when the day comes, then I have to start fretting bah... But I think by then, most of my frens would have been married and with one or two kiddos already!

Collected my new pair of specs from the optician today... It's in red plastic frames... Cost me $168... Not exactly expensive for a pair of specs, considering the power of my myopia... (+750 per side and my contacts is +700 per side) Not very used to it now, afterall I have only been wearing this new pair for less than 2 hours. Shan't post pics of me in the new specs coz regardless of which specs Im wearing, I always look like I just woke up.

And ya, collected my cosmetic lenses at the same time. Bought 4 pairs. Baby Aqua, Cool Green, Warm Hazel and Romantic Violet...


Trying to decide which pair I will be wearing for CNY... Think most prob it shall be the violet or the aqua... Definitely not the hazel coz it's too common already...

I played punk today. I have yet to get over my anger, so I took 2 days of urgent leave. To stay at home and DO NOTHING! So mean of me ya... On Saturday I sent a very angry sms to my boss, wailing and sms-ing at the same time... My mum thot I had a very big quarrel with my darling... When in fact it was coz I am too stressed out from the work and pressure. It's been really long time since I had an outburst like this. I haven't felt this stressed for a long time. Wonder what has caused this...

It is only the first week of work... And I have been shot with many many arrows. I have died, many times over and over again. And one shot was fired by my own boss, the one who supposedly groomed me, helped me, and respects me and needs me. I feel so wounded. I'm bleeding all over my back...

My baobei started going to school on 03 January (Wednesday). My sis took some photos of her in her school uniform. She looks utterly cuteeeee.... Shall post some pics of her when my sis develops those photos for me. She's already 4 years old, but still can't really pronounce her words properly. She calls me 'xiao yiyi' when she should call me 'san yiyi' and she keeps calling herself 'ah mei' and doesn't realise her name is Tingting. Wonder how she can communicate to the teacher and how she's going to differentiate when the teacher is calling her.

Just when I was saying I do not wish to slog like a pig anymore.. I went back to work on the very first day of the New Year! And it was supposed to be a public holiday. Fwak... Even though it was only a mere 3 over hours, the fact is I was diligent enough to go back and work... No overtime pay, no allowance... My boss asked me about it today, and IMO, he did not show any form of appreciation. It was just a casual question. His intention of asking me into the room was to discuss about the new hire... He wants to hire a Cheenopok woman, a China Chinese woman who is a Singapore PR now. Wants my opinion on it. Is that called respecting me? I dunno and I dun care...

Fwak... For the sake of money, I shall endure... Endure endure and endure!
