It's the last day of the year... This year passed by very very quickly. Maybe it is due to the fact that I have been busy throughout the whole year, with heavier and more job responsibilities and more accounts to cope with, and with so many ups and downs to the company and department, and also with my grandma's condition, family problems.. I sincerely hope everything will really go smoothly for my family and I from tomorrow onwards... I do not wish to see myself slogging like a pig for nothing anymore.
My boss has been very unappreciative of the work that Edmund and I have been putting in. On top of not being appreciative, all he does is disappear when we need him, and throw us to the front line to bark like a mad dog at those 'heavenly kings'. Utterly disappointed with him. To the extent that I have started to talk back to him. I never used to do so. I used to respect him as a superior, even though I have 2 colleagues who are rather disgusted with his attitude. But I have been very thankful and grateful to him for giving me the opportunity 3 years back. Come to think about it, I should have repaid him with all the hard work that I put in for the past 2 over years by now.
Some nights as I lay in bed about to go to sleep, I think back about whether it is a wrong choice for me to have rejected the other company's offer. (Ya, I got that job..) Even though I know the account that I will be handling will be extremely tough, it's afterall a new beginning. A new job where I can definitely learn new things and learn to handle those extremely difficult and tough customers.
Haiz... No more thinking back, it's already finalized. I have rejected them and taken up my boss' offer. I just hope the new year will bring for me better job opportunities and wealth.

It's Grandma's lunar birthday today... All of us went down to Uncle's house after work to celebrate her birthday.

Grandma is 87 years old this year. Born in the year of rooster. Every year we would go to some posh restuarant to celebrate her birthday, but this year they decided to have it at home. At least we will get to mingle around and talk like a family would... And most importantly, Grandma would not need to travel to and fro too much.
My wish is to celebrate her birthday every year... And that she would get to drink the tea that James and I will serve her on our wedding day... Happy birthday Grandma!
We applied for our love nest on 4 December 2006. It is at Sengkang, Compassvale View. November BTO.
I really hope to get this flat. We have even got our plans ready, which block and which unit to choose, how to do up our love nest in the way we would love to live in happily ever after.
The exact location...

Went to recee the place on Sunday with Dad and Mum, and Kuan with family. We quite like the location of this place. Near to amenities and convenient. And next to an LRT station named "Ruan Gang" which sounds kinda crude if you mis-pronounce it....
The new blocks of flats to be built...
I have decided on Block 209B, Unit 102 or 106. Any storey is fine with me, as long as it is storey 10 and above... I do not mind staying at #13... In fact I hope I can get #13!
Here's the block plan..
Note that unit 106 has its main door facing unit 104... Got pple say it's not very good to have door face door... But I dowan to choose unit 108 coz it will be facing the evening sun which is going to be warm... So I gave myself another option, and that is unit 102. Doesn't directly face another unit and I would not get the warm evening sun shining into my bedroom. Only that it ain't near the main road, and I am afraid it's going to be 'windless' as the wind might be blocked by the other blocks of flats.
Here's the floor plan...

There are only 285 units of 4 room and 105 units of 3 room. We were applicant number 778! Imagine that! Application ends 18 December, which is another 2 weeks away. Gosh, wonder how many applications HDB is going to receive by the end of this.
Got a letter from HDB today. Nah, just to inform us that they have received our application only lah. They will be accessing our income, etc to determine if we are eligible to apply for the flat. And will inform us in writing once they confirm we are eligible. So excited. If all goes through, we will be able to select our unit in February next year, which is only 2 months away. I have been busy with researching on the renovation works, the type of finishing, and am even considering to consult a fengshui master. Very kiasu hor, considering that our flat would not be ready until year 2011. The Estimated Delivery Possession Date (EDPD) is 31 Oct 2011. I still have at least 4-5 years before it comes through. Gosh, I wish it would speed up. I can't wait anymore!
