Happy Niu Year!!!
The 2 days of the Lunar New Year holidays' over. So fast. Had reunion dinner on 2 days - Saturday with the Angs, and Sunday with the Hos. Definitely feels different to be a married woman, really feel like a 大人 to have to have reunion dinners on 2 days with 2 families, to have to 包红包 and 派红包 to the younger ones. Damage isn't that huge this year coz we are not allowed to give any red packets to the younger ones from his side of the family due to the demise of his maternal grandmother. And this year Darling and I still received quite a bit of red packets from the elders coz we have just been married only (thank goodness can cover up a bit of our cost! But this is the last year we gonna receive red packets le.. sob sob), and the 贺词 that almost all of them said to us was 早生贵子, to the extent that before they could say it, we already knew what was going to come next. Hahahaha...
Oh, here's a pic of my pretty nails! Handrawn de okie! Freaking nice.. And oh, they are not done at PINC btw, were done separately at Bugis Village on Thursday.

Here's my dashing hubby driving our little Jazz baby..

And my 宝贝playing with our wedding bears in our car... As though she is our daughter.. Hehe

And here's Mr & Mrs Ho on 大年初一 at my uncle's place in Katong..

And my lovely 宝贝 looking so sweet with her dazzling smile... In my eyes, she is the cutest girl...

And when you ask her,"你是谁的宝贝?" She will reply you "Auntie Cammie" or she will point at me. Or if someone else other than me, asks her "你是不是我的宝贝?" She will shake her head and say, "Auntie Cammie 的。"
On 大年初一, we went to my Uncle's place in Katong, then went back to my MIL's house in Marine Crescent, then went to Auntie's place in Bishan. Although we only went visiting at 3 places, we were very tired by the end of the day. Supposed to meet up with Ben and guys to go clubbing, ended up too shag to get up after reaching home.
On the second day of the Lunar New Year, we went to my Er Gu's place in Bedok Reservoir with Daddy and Mummy first, then went back to Marine Crescent to fetch his Mum. Then evening we went to Hazel's place, it's like a SOP already, to go Hazel's place every Chu Er. And it so happens that this year Chu Er is Hazel's actual birthday (Ang moh birthday la). So Janet bought a cake to Hazel's house and we had a simple cake-cutting celebration for her, together with many many of her relatives. Here're some pics!

Last night learnt another happy news, another friend is preggy! So happy for her, her EDD is near August.. I'm gonna have a 'sibling' soon.. Congrats 'Mama' & 'Papa'!! Yeah yeah yeah...
Check this stuffed toy out..
Bixin and I caught it in an arcade yesterday during lunch time! Woohoo! She's so lihai at the sweet catcher machine that we spent about $20+ and managed to strike jackpot and get this.. Very cute hor? Now it is sitting proudly at her desk in the office..

Moo Moo Year's Coming~!
Lunar New Year is coming, just one more week to go! Getting a little excited coz I can't wait to 包红包.. Silly goose right? Wahahaha.. Guess the subsequent years I will feel that I am mad this year to actually feel excited abt giving angpows. Spring cleaning (only my room) was done on Sunday, din realise that my windows were so freaking dusty and my wardrobe's also covered with a layer of dust! OMG.. So unhealthy. I'm breathing in polluted air everyday. Cannot imagine when our love nest comes and I need to do spring cleaning for the whole house! Joanne was saying that when it comes to cleaning, you will realise that having a big house is not a very good idea, especially when you have no domestic helper! Spring cleaning will have to start at least one month in advance!
Friday was Maglin's wedding at The Legends Fort Canning Park. She was so gorgeous! She took Silverlining Bridal and their expertise is on low back gowns, both Mag's gowns were super low and bare back! Very very beautiful.. Low and bare back gowns are suitable for her coz she's lanky, if I were to wear these kinda gowns, think I will look damn gross coz my fats and tummy gonna have no place to hide and the gowns cant lift up my boobs. But anyway not trying to compare her and my wedding, I am very happy with my wedding and so far I still tink my black EG is the most gorgeous! Hahaha.. It was a lovely wedding, and when she walked down the aisle holding the hands of Jason, I had the urge to whistle (not that I know how to whistle la). Such a beautiful sight, to have a handsome groom and a pretty bride.. Heehee..
Monday night Nel and I went to Century Square PINC to do our classic mani and pedi. First time in my life I do manicure I need to wash my hands MYSELF. Apparently its like a norm in PINC CS. An auntie came in later than us, she also had to wash her hands herself. WTH! Already not very song that I need to wash my hands myself. Then came the 2nd thing. When I called to make the appointment the week before, they told me that we need to pay the surcharge first to confirm our appt. So on Sat I was nearby, I dropped in to pay $20 ($5 surcharge for each service, so total of 4 services). Nel decided that she will only do the pedi, mani she dowan to do. So her appt is shortened since she has one less service to do, and thus they took in a walk-in customer after Nel. When we were going to pay, they refused to let her use the $5 surcharge to offset her pedi. They claimed that it is non-refundable. WTF! After arguing with them, Nel just said "Forget it, its just $5 only, give you lo. SUX!" They have been condemned. No more second time.
Work's been very stagnant lately, everyday lobo in the office. Play FB, read SMO forum, read SGB forum, MSN, skype. It's so boring to be stuck in office and I can't possibly go out and tuang every afternoon! Words of retrenchment have been in the air and I'm still lobo-ing in this manner. They had a mgmt meeting last Friday, there will be variable bonus but only in March, we're guessing that the retrenchment's going to take place in February. 50% of our annual leaves for 2009 have to be cleared and we can only bring forward 50% to 2010. Which means all of 2008's leaves have to be cleared pretty soon too, not that I have a lot of 2008 leaves, but somebody in the team has not cleared any of his 2008 leaves! I wonder why these people just keep and keep their leaves, only will cause disruption to the rest in the team when they so gan-chiongly have to clear their leaves before they forfeit the leaves and cause the rest to be unable to take leaves during their absence. Very unfair lo. And the CNY period, my partner will be going back to her hometown, so I will need to back her up for 2 whole weeks, and this bugger still wanna take leave when she's not ard! I am already covering 2 persons job since Sharon went on ML in Nov, and with Jolie going away during CNY, I need to cover 3 persons' work. And with this bugger wanting to go on leave, I need to wear my underwear on the outside! KNN.. Ok, admit that there shouldn't be a lot of things to cover with the shipment volume going down so drastically lately, BUT the fact is I still need to cover 4 persons lo! And it's always me me me! Why do I know so many pple's work? All coz of that asshole FH. Make me touch so many accounts, and now I end up having to back-up the whole world. I can't stand it when pple whine and act pitiful, why am I doing the same thing? Nope, I am not acting pitiful, I am just ranting. Sorry! Hahahaha...
Been extremely pissed with just some people in my lives. Wish to ask them to get the hell out of my life, but I know it's impossible. I dun understand why some people just cannot stop comparing and just wants to compare with me, compare what James could give me, compare my wedding to hers, compare what James and I have achieved, compare my situation to hers, compare every single thing that I have to what she has. Wanting to know what I bought back for my mum (I bought the New Moon Abalone, she bought back a can of limpets and a can of top shell. Each only worth at most $10?) and will want to compare and comment. Why can't these people be contented with their lives? If you are not happy about something in your life, stand up and make the change! It's no use whining and comparing and making yourself miserable. And learn to accept criticisms and suggestions, stop saying 'but' and 'cannot' and then continue to whine.
Just learnt that a colleague is preggy. So happy for her! She got married mid of last year and is in her 2nd month now. EDD is end August. Heartfelt happiness is brimming out from me to her! Baby dust is in the air~!

Long awaited pics of my Europe buys!!! Woo hoo!

Some Silly Rants
Exhuasted from the weekend, had barely recovered and here comes Monday again. :(
Was not intending to buy any CNY clothes and shoes this year coz original intention was to wear this cheongsam-like dress that I had worn for my DnD several years back (Shanghai night was the theme then) for the 1st day of CNY. However I went shopping ALONE on Friday evening (yes, I went shopping all on my own!!), and I bought 3 pencil skirts (more for office wear la) from Frontier, 1 halter neck dress from Joop (this is like the FIRST time I bought a sleeveless pc of clothing since so many years), 1 blue shirt from Mango and 2 scrungies from Art Box. Darling got a shock when he came to meet me, I was happily queue-ing up at Century Square information counter waiting to get my free AP packets with 3 bags of shopping. Never did he expect that leaving me alone for an hour plus would cause such a big damage! Wahaha...
For CNY I have a new dress to wear le.. So happy.. And on top of these, the other day went to G2K, bought 2 shirts and 1 white dress.. I have new clothes to wear! Yeah! Maybe wanna go Levi's buy another pair of jeans... Mmmm.. Worth considering... And when I went home on Friday, I realised that I still have 5 pairs of brand new heels not worn before, I dun need to buy shoes already. Woo~
Saturday morning was rise and shine early early sia. Woke up at 730 to accompany my mummy to the Poly clinic for blood test (a half yearly affair), thereafter we went to Ubi to buy roast duck, BBQ pork, durian puffs, etc... The 2 of us lugged like 10 bags home and to make it worse, we took a BUS to and fro. Reached home feeling like it was evening, but it was only 1pm! Took a short (very short) nap and then had to go back to Marine Parade for dinner. After dinner was MJ time! Woo hoo! Super long never kena jio-ed for MJ liaos... Went to Leon's place for 4 rounds of MJ until about 3 am in the morning. Super shag!
Sunday morning was another rise and shine early early.. Woke up at 745 to go to the temple with Darling's family. It's his late Grandma's 49 days (since her demise). Whole family activated, and it was a whole morning event. Phew... What a tiring weekend for both of us! :D
Looking forward to Maglin's wedding at The Legends this Friday! Actually I'm not supposed to attend any weddings yet, coz we have been married for less 3 months but how can I miss out a good fren's wedding! Have yet to decide on my outfit.. Damn.. And I need to get a facial done, my face's rotting. I need a good beautician to treat my rotting face but not willing to sign any package. Where to find a good deal like that? And I need to do a mani and pedicure! My mani and pedi were done on 4th Dec, super long lapse already. Maybe shall try the one opp my house?
Just last night I was writing Mag a card, and then realised that this year we have many upcoming weddings to attend. Feb is Guobin's wedding at Fullerton, June is Jianhao & Meihui's wedding at Conrad, Sep is Pearlyn's wedding at The Pines, Oct is Qiuting's wedding at Crowne Plaza! I love attending wedding dinners, I love to see the beautiful couple march-in and smile at all the guests without really knowing who they are smiling at, I love to see the Groom and the Bride look at each other with love in their eyes, I love to see how the Groom got sabo-ed during the day, I love to see how beautiful the Bride is, I love to eat banquet food, I heart to be present when it's such a happy and joyous occassion!

An Upset Post
Am feeling a tad upset that I have been taken for granted. Just coz I am soft-hearted does not mean that I can be taken for granted.
I am not the only daughter with a car. I am not her only daughter. Why is it that every errand must ask me to do? Why is it that when I bring her out on occassions, she remembers them as another daughter doing that? Why is it that when I pay for their expenses she cannot remember, she only remembers another daughter has brought her to this this this place or wad? Only on such occassions she knows she has more than one daughter.
Why is it that I am expected to do this and that, and THAT daughter of hers is not expected to? Just coz my husband and I are staying with her? Just coz she doesn't want to trouble THAT daughter and son-in-law?
Why is it that when help is needed at home, she only thinks of me? Why is it that THAT daughter doesn't need to help? Why is it that she only screams at us and never screams at THAT daughter? Pls dun tell me that her 3 daughters have not done anything for her, we have definitely done MUCH MORE than THAT daughter. Which daughter is at her beck and call? Which daughter fetches her home almost everyday after work (until it has been taken for granted)? Which daughter dutifully gives her allowance every month? Which daughter does she think of when she NEEDS HELP? When she needs someone to bring her to the doctor? When she needs someone to fetch her to visit relatives? ME ME ME.
She was the one who was super against us buying Xiaobai, and in the end, she is the one who FULLY UTILISE the car. Saturdays are meant to be going back to Darling's place to visit Grandpa and have dinner with him. Just because she wants to buy CNY stuffs this Saturday, I should not go and visit Grandpa, I should drive her to go and buy her stuffs, when in previous years she will go out with Dad on a Sunday to do the CNY marketing.
Weekday nights when I go out with my friends, I am labelled as "always pa pa zao" (always outside running ard) because I am unable to go and fetch her home. When I tell her beforehand that I am unable to fetch her home the next day, her reply is "Why you everyday got so many things to do?" The problem is, how often do I go out with my friends?!?!?! When I go out for dinner with my husband, we have to rush through dinner so that we can make it in time to fetch her.
I am very tired and I guess it's time to trash things out.
Signing off,

One Month Wedding Anniversary
Happy One Month Wedding Anniversary!
I Love You Lots!We have been together for
115 months and married for
1 month.
Feels funny to start counting by such a small number again...
Whilst preparing for our wedding and honeymoon trip, I was telling my frens and him that I wonder after the wedding and the holiday, will I feel a void of emptiness coz we spent the whole of 2008 (almost the whole of the year la) preparing for our BIG day, and when it's all over, what am I going to keep myself busy with? No longer active in the SG Brides forum, no wedding to prepare for, no Europe to look forward to, what is my brain going to be kept occupied with? I had thot of looking for a better job before we start a family, but with the current economy, there are no jobs to be found. And yes, I am feeling a certain void in my life. Not very used to have nothing on hand to plan for and look forward to.
We have been married for one month, and we are back to our boring routined lifestyle. Why can't companies give better benefits like 1 month of honeymoon leave? Like this we could have taken 2 months of leave, use 1 month for honeymoon and the 2nd month we will bask in the happiness of being newly weds before we head back into the mundane working life!
Yes, now updates are going to be back to the whining of jobs and family again.
Unless...
Mr Ho decides to bring me holidaying again! Yeah!
Oops... Dun be too happy yet...
Happy One Month Wedding Anniversary, Mr Ho!
Forever loving you,
Mrs Cammie Ho
XOXOXOXOXO

Hehe

Lunar New Year is coming, just one more week to go! Getting a little excited coz I can't wait to 包红包.. Silly goose right? Wahahaha..
XOXOXOXOXO
